Our 2026 Winky 6's Football Tournament took place on 13th–14th June and was a tremendous success, bringing together teams, players, and supporters for an exciting weekend of football.
Saturday morning began with a familiar challenge at the racecourse, as a brisk wind swept across the pitches. The girls' teams got the tournament underway with some excellent football on display, setting the tone for the weekend. In the afternoon, our youngest players took centre stage, showcasing their enthusiasm, skill, and love for the game.
Sunday brought calmer conditions, with much less wind making life easier for the gazebos. However, the warmer temperatures certainly tested players and spectators alike. The day began with the U10s, U11s, and U12s in action, before the three older age groups delivered a fantastic afternoon of competitive and entertaining football to bring the tournament to a memorable close.
A huge thank you to all the players, coaches, volunteers, referees, and supporters who helped make this year's tournament such a successful and enjoyable event.
